INSTALLATION OF SPIRALMATE Self Adhesive Gasket Tapes to be used

Apply short piece of Ductmate 440 Butyl Gasket Tape to the break in the Flange Ring, press Gasket into the break and inside the Flange. This operation to be carried out to both mating Flange Rings.

Complete the Gasket application by fitting
Ductmate Self Adhesive Gasket Tape. Start Gasket away from the
break in the Flange and continue to fit Gasket around entire circumference
of the mating Flanges. Butt the ends of the Gasket. Ensure the
flange face is clean before applying the gasket and that the gasket
is flush with the outside edge of the flange.

Place Closure Ring over end of duct; ensure the breaks are not opposite each other. Align Flanges and apply Spiralmate Alignment Grips, making sure that the Closure Clip is within vice grip.

Pull Flanges together with Spiralmate Alignment Grips. Separate overlap on Closure Clip and fit Closure Clip over Flange joint (more than one pair of Grips will be required depending on size of joint diameter.

Fit the bolt and nut. Tighten the
bolt on the closure until it makes an even contact around the circumference
of the flange. Whilst tightening periodically tap the closure around
the circumference to help create an even draw.

Remove Grip and tap with mallet around circumference of Closure Clip, at intervals tightening the nut. Continue until there is no more adjustment on nut and bolt. This completes the installation of Spiralmate Circular Duct Connection.
