45 Corner
Ductmate 45 ONLY: Apply approx 120mm of Ductmate 440 Butyl Gasket Tape to the corners as shown. It is important to press the Gasket Tape firmly into the space created by the sealant pocket of the Flange. Ensure all 8 corners are treated.
1.

Start applying Ductmate 440 Gasket about half way between duct corners on shortest side. Position Gasket along groove in Ductmate Flange as shown.

2. Position Gasket in an arc so that it covers the duct corner. Some will penetrate into the airstream. Press Gasket firmly into contact with edge of duct corner and Ductmate corner assembly.
3. Apply Gasket around Ductmate frame to starting point. Where Gasket meets, overlap about 10mm. Ductmate 45 NOTE: Ensure Gasket edge is lined below the sealant pocket.
4. On the mating Ductmate Flange, apply Gasket only to the corners as shown. (Approximately 75mm for Ductmate 25 and 35 corners and approx 120mm for Ductmate 45 – see 1. above) The same application techniques as in 3.
5. It is important to align Flanges before they touch. Ductmate 440 adheres on contact.
6.
The duct sections are joined by bringing together the four corners by installing set screws and nuts. Use wrenches, nut driver or adjust a vice grip so that when the Gasket Tape is compressed, the corner pieces touch. Then tighten the set screw and nut.

7.

Pull Ductmate Flanges together with Vice Grips prior to fitting Cleats or 'G' Clamps. Enought pressure should be applied to compress the Gasket to allow Cleats to be clipped over. Start fitting Cleats measuring from the corner bolt and work towards the centre of the duct at specified centres.
NOTE: ON DUCTMATE 45 'G' CLAMPS MUST BE USED.
