ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

	1	Always cut Ductmate Flange 31 - 35 mm shorter than the outside duct dimension.
	2	Insert Ductmate Corner Piece as shown.
	3	Two short sides with Corner Pieces inserted.
	4	One short side with two legs inserted.
	5	Completing the frame.
	6	Start completed Ductmate frame at corner of duct section.
	7	Corner of duct section must clear Ductmate Corner Piece. THIS IS IMPORTANT
	8	If the duct section corner of the Seam Lock ends up under the Ductmate Corner, tap the frame outwards to allow the duct section to clear and slide past the Ductmate Corner. THIS IS IMPORTANT
	9	The duct section must be seated into the Ductmate Flange so that the leading edge of the duct section penetrates the integral mastic sealer. The corners of the duct section will then project above the Ductmate corners.
	10	Use a mallet to locate the duct section. Establish metal to metal contact along the full length of the flange. Temporarily secure the frame in position while applying permanent fasteners as shown in 11 and 12.
	11	It is recommended that the Ductmate Flange is fastened to the duct section within 20mm of the end of the Ductmate Flange.
	12	Work in one direction around duct locating the frame. Fasten in sequence using chosen method of fixing from Table 5 of DW144. Do not fasten Flange at corner first, it can cause location problems.

Ductmate Flange can be fastened to the duct section with self-drilling screws or spot welds. Spot welding is recommended for a superior quality installation (eliminates holes in duct).

For all pressure classes fastenings are required at 300mm max centres.
