Ductmate 795 Duct Sealant
Technical

DESCRIPTION

A high quality solvent-release duct sealant made from a blend of rubber, fillers and polymers. 795 Sealant is a plastic sealant as defined in BS6213:1982 “Selection of Construction Sealants”. Grey in colour.

USES

For sealing seams and joints in duct work.

CURE

Cures by release of solvent. An initial skin forms within 4 hours, no curing reaction occurs.  When all solvent has been released the material remains inert and very pliable.

JOINT DESIGN

795 Sealant has been designed for use in bedding joints. The performance therefore depends on the degree of movement and the joint clearance.

Technical data

For movement joints, a joint clearance of 3mm is recommended with a sealant width (w) of 12mm. When used for bedding then a thin section can be used.
